What we do not want in menopause supplements…..
Phytoestrogens are not the best idea. Plant-derived estrogens like black cohosh, dong quai, red clover, soy, maca, and more… those, we do not want unless we really know what we are doing and what our body has going on inside.
An Internet search for ‘menopause supplements’ produces a string of sites highlighting phytoestrogens.
Phytoestrogens can create an imbalance of estrogen and, if one is progesterone deficient, the challenges increase. But that is not meant to slight other side effects like increasing tumor growth, if there is a tumor lurking… or liver inflammation…. or all the issues that we need to research to avoid.
